STRAIGHT ANSWERS

A few things
you might be wondering.

What is VoIP?

Voice over Internet Protocol is a phone system that uses your internet connection instead of traditional phone lines. Your team still makes and receives calls, with additional options for working across devices.

Will we keep our phone numbers?

We coordinate number transfers with the providers. The current service describes a typical one-to-three-week process; the actual date depends on carrier confirmation. We plan temporary routing when needed.

What happens if our internet goes down?

Internet-based calling depends on connectivity. Depending on the system, calls can be forwarded to mobile phones, and cellular failover can be considered for critical locations. We plan for this during discovery.

Do we need a different internet connection?

We assess your connection, expected call volume and network before recommending a phone system.

Will it save money?

We can compare your current phone costs with the proposed service. Savings depend on your existing lines, features, contracts and support costs.

How is emergency calling handled?

We review the provider’s emergency-address requirements during implementation and discuss how address changes and remote users are handled.

What if we do not want a fully managed phone solution?

We can discuss working directly with a provider and using Stock Technologies for assistance at our standard hourly rate.
